Short version: Bill Reminder stores all your data locally on your device. We do not collect, sell, or share your personal information. Subscriptions are processed through Apple (StoreKit) and RevenueCat.
1. Who We Are

2. What Data We Collect
Bill Reminder is designed to work entirely offline. Most data never leaves your device.

We do not collect: your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, financial account details, or any other personal information.
3. Local Data Storage
All your bills, payment history, and preferences are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData and UserDefaults frameworks. This data:
- Never leaves your device (except iCloud backup, if you have iCloud backup enabled)
- Is permanently deleted when you uninstall the app
- Is not accessible to us at any time
If you use iCloud backup, your data may be backed up according to Apple's Privacy Policy. We have no access to iCloud backups.
4. Subscriptions โ RevenueCat
Bill Reminder uses RevenueCat, a subscription management service, to process and validate Premium subscriptions.
What RevenueCat collects:
- Subscription status and purchase history
- An anonymous customer identifier generated by RevenueCat (not tied to your Apple ID)
- Device platform and app version (for purchase validation)
What RevenueCat does NOT collect:
- Your name, email, or any personal identifiers
- Your payment card details (handled entirely by Apple)
- The content of your bills or any data you enter

5. Push Notifications
Bill Reminder uses local push notifications to remind you about upcoming bill payments. These notifications are:
- Scheduled entirely on your device โ no notification server is involved
- Not used to deliver advertising or marketing messages
- Only sent after you grant notification permission
You can disable notifications at any time in iOS Settings โ Bill Reminder โ Notifications.
6. In-App Purchases and Subscriptions
Bill Reminder offers optional Premium subscriptions processed entirely by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to your payment information, credit card details, or billing address.
Apple's handling of payment data is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy. To manage or cancel your subscription, go to iOS Settings โ Apple ID โ Subscriptions.
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal data to third parties. The only services that receive any data are:
- RevenueCat โ subscription management (see Section 4)
- Apple โ payment processing for subscriptions (see Section 6)
We do not share data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other parties.
8. Children's Privacy
Bill Reminder is not directed at children under the age of 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App without parental consent, please contact us at support@darkside.dev and we will take appropriate action within 30 days, including deleting any applicable data.
9. Your Rights (GDPR / CCPA)
Since we do not collect personal data, most data privacy rights are satisfied by design. However:
- Access / Portability: All your data is stored on your device โ you have full access at all times.
- Deletion: Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data. RevenueCat purchase records may be retained as required by Apple for subscription management.
10. Data Security
All data is stored locally on your device and protected by iOS sandboxing and device encryption (when you enable a passcode or Face ID). We have no servers storing your data and therefore cannot be subject to server-side data breaches.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy. For significant changes, we will provide an in-app notice.
